The electronic commerce event of the year was extended one more week due to the success of the first two days of launching on November 2 and 3.
The amount of sales during the fourth edition of this big discounts campaign was far higher than last year. According to the Argentinian Chamber of Electronic Commerce (CACE), the increase in purchases was 50%. 2.8 million unique visits and 55 thousand simultaneous online surfers were registered.
In addition, the study conducted by CACE found that women were more involved in the event (58%) and that mobile devices were most used to make the purchases, in contrast to other editions.
The chance to pay in monthly installments was one of the benefits that users took most advantage of, and the geographic areas where greater involvement was registered were Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Rosario, Santa Fe, Mendoza and Tucumán.
From the total users, more than 70% chose the Store PickUp option -at no extra cost- amongst more than 120 pickup sites across the country.
More than 240 leading brands participated from the new edition of CyberMonday with thousands of products. Clothing and footwear, technology, tourism, electronics, home, furniture, auto, sports and recreation equipment, kids’ games and toys, cosmetics and beauty, and groceries were the most popular categories.
Finally, it’s worth mentioning that the 300+ featured products with up to 45% off their real prices were overseen by “Vinculación Ciudadana”, the NGO headed by the Law School of University of Buenos Aires.
