THE CHALLENGE
Walmart is the largest retailer in the world with more than 11,000 stores, under 65 brands in 28 countries. Walmart had the challenge of developing online sales channels integrated with traditional stores to generate a 360° experience for their customers.
WHAT WE DID
OUR APPROACH
We’ve developed an ecosystem of applications to simplify the purchase and shipping processes for both Walmart and the users.
We’ve implemented the online store on the VTEX suite, offering its customers a large stock of Food products (grocery/supermarkets) and of Non Food products.
Main complementary developments:
– APPs for iOS and Android: Users can make use of the purchase flow that best suits their needs, anywhere and from any device, without losing the content of their shopping cart.
–Virtual kiosks: APPs in store to increase physical sales. This touch totem offers products that, because of their volume, may not be in physical stock for that store.
– Pickup app: Correct order delivery is as important as completing a sale for Walmart. That’s why we’ve developed a Pick Up APP: customers can withdraw their orders from the stores without getting out of their cars.
We’ve implemented the JANIS © backoffice, powered by Fizzmod, to unify the management of all these channels, from the products release to the orders preparation. This way, the Walmart team can have a comprehensive view of their business in a single OMS.
